This is going to be the last post on the book Insurgent. I absolutely loved this book and would definately recomend it to anyone enjoys futuristic books. The best part of the book by far was the last lines of the last paragraph. Spoiler! "
She smiles a little.
“I am about to join your number,” she says. “Like the rest of you, I will voluntarily forget my name, my family, and my
home. I will take on a new identity, with false memories and a false history. But so that you know the information I have provided you with is accurate, I will tell you the name I am about to take as my own.”
Her smile broadens, and for a moment, I feel that I recognize her.
“My name will be Edith Prior,” she says. “And there is much I am happy to forget.”
Prior.
The video stops. The projector glows blue against the wall. I clutch Tobias’s hand, and there is a moment of silence like a withheld breath.

Then the shouting begins" (Roth 544).
 This final paragraph sets the intriguing mood into the reader. This is the first time the character Edith Prior is introduced.  As the reader you almost feel obligated to read the third book because you HAVE to find out about who Edith Prior is and how she is related to Beatrice Prior and the effect she will have on the story in the long run. The reader wants to know her effect on the story most because of when it talks about the shouting at the end of the book. You know there willbe a lot of conflict in the third book and the last paragraph of Insurgent compells you to find out about the oncoming conflict.

A while ago I finished the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. It was an amazing book so I moved on to the second book in the series called Insurgent. Insurgent in my opinion was even better than Divergent was. I have finally began reading Allegient which is the third and final book in the series. I may go back and reread Insurgent so that I can get a few posts in about that book and not just skip over it.
I am extremely excited to get farther into Allegient this trimester. Allegient is written from the point of view of both main characters so that will be an interesting change. Now i will be able to know the thoughts and feelings of not only Tris but Tobias as well.

      The post I chose as my best post was the Analysis post. The requirements for this post were, "The student cites strong and textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn fro the text." I know that i have met all the requirements because in my blog it states, "Being the first jumper is a symbol of courage, bravery and strength, and the Dauntless have lots of respect for the first jumper" ( Bussell Divergent Hidden Meanings). This shows my analysis of hidden meanings and symbolism throughout the text.It also shows explicit analysis when the text states that initiates of Dauntless must jump from a seven story building. Also, I know I met the requirements because in my blog it states, "

"Think about it," he says, a faint smile curling his lips. "You don't get to pick again."

A new place, a new name. I can be remade here.

"Tris," I say firmly. (6.82-5). This makes me think or infer that the names of the initiates that she has come to know so well, may not be their actual names because they had the opportunity to restart their lives with a new name and a new personality"( Bussell Divergent Hidden Meanings). The previous quote shows the thourogh evidence from the text as well as the inferences made from the textual evidence.

     Next trimester for reading, my goal is to read at least three books. I also want to become a better writer by focusing on grammer and comma based punctuation errors.
This trimester I read two books and have gotten almost halfway through the third. Hence the reason why I made it a goal to read at least three books next trimester. I want to be able to write without punctuation errors and learn where colons and semicolons are used.
