Factions

Several quotes throughout the book show how closely related each faction is to one another. "It must require bravery to be honest all the time", "I have a theory that selflessness and bravery aren't all that different.", "People tend to overestimate my character," I say quietly. "They think that because I'm small, or a girl, or a Stiff, I can't possibly be cruel. But they're wrong." This shows that being brave, intelligent, honest, peaceful and selfless aren't really as different as they are portrayed to be in the factions.
