The Divergence in Allegient

I am finally going to start talking about the book Allegient. I have only read around 100 pages so i'm not very far. However, extremely important events have happened. The events have been insane, they range from: People that are supposed to be dead being alive,  realizing the lies in society, knowing now that a group of people has been watching you your whole life, and worst of all that the people watching never really interviened no matter if someone was dying or not. Most of the main characters began to learn that if they arent Divergent they have damaged genes. They were missing certain traits from their lack of good genetics. If they werent brave , they became Amity (the peaceful).  Why were they killing off the Divergent? Why wouldnt they want to keep the ones with the genes that were in tact? Did they know about the genetics of the people before the faction leaders started to kill the Divergent? They say that Divergence is dangerous. That the Divergent can defy the system and they cant be controlled. There are so many questions about Divergence that havent been answered. Can you think of any questions you have about being Divergent?

Symbolism and importance

In the book divergent, as well as Insurgent, I think the colors of the factions may be representative. The main character Beatrice was born into the Abnegation faction which is gray and later moved to Dauntless which is black. The two colors are closely related and often reffered to together. This shows how closely related bravery and selflessness truly are. You have to be brave to be selfless and risk your own life for someone else. Also red yellow and blue are often colors that are together. They are primary colors to represent the other three factions of amity, candor and erudite. These factions are strongly linked together because they are peace, honesty and intelligence. Honesty and inteligents are both factors of peace. However when Black, red, yellow, gray, and blue there will always be an ugly color because the colors will clash.
In insurgent that is exactly what happedned. The colors clashed. The personalities clashed. The factions don't mix and neither do their colors. The faction system was destroyed by the individual thoughts and actions of people. Some want factions and some want to be a part of all of them. This caused WAR.

This is going to be the last post on the book Insurgent. I absolutely loved this book and would definately recomend it to anyone enjoys futuristic books. The best part of the book by far was the last lines of the last paragraph. Spoiler! "
She smiles a little.
“I am about to join your number,” she says. “Like the rest of you, I will voluntarily forget my name, my family, and my
home. I will take on a new identity, with false memories and a false history. But so that you know the information I have provided you with is accurate, I will tell you the name I am about to take as my own.”
Her smile broadens, and for a moment, I feel that I recognize her.
“My name will be Edith Prior,” she says. “And there is much I am happy to forget.”
Prior.
The video stops. The projector glows blue against the wall. I clutch Tobias’s hand, and there is a moment of silence like a withheld breath.

Then the shouting begins" (Roth 544).
This final paragraph sets the intriguing mood into the reader. This is the first time the character Edith Prior is introduced.  As the reader you almost feel obligated to read the third book because you HAVE to find out about who Edith Prior is and how she is related to Beatrice Prior and the effect she will have on the story in the long run. The reader wants to know her effect on the story most because of when it talks about the shouting at the end of the book. You know there willbe a lot of conflict in the third book and the last paragraph of Insurgent compells you to find out about the oncoming conflict.

A while ago I finished the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. It was an amazing book so I moved on to the second book in the series called Insurgent. Insurgent in my opinion was even better than Divergent was. I have finally began reading Allegient which is the third and final book in the series. I may go back and reread Insurgent so that I can get a few posts in about that book and not just skip over it.
I am extremely excited to get farther into Allegient this trimester. Allegient is written from the point of view of both main characters so that will be an interesting change. Now i will be able to know the thoughts and feelings of not only Tris but Tobias as well.

Summary and some Spoilers of Insurgent are found in the following article:

Best blog post

Click here to view my best bog post!

The post I chose as my best post was the Analysis post. The requirements for this post were, "The student cites strong and textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn fro the text." I know that i have met all the requirements because in my blog it states, "Being the first jumper is a symbol of courage, bravery and strength, and the Dauntless have lots of respect for the first jumper" ( Bussell Divergent Hidden Meanings). This shows my analysis of hidden meanings and symbolism throughout the text.It also shows explicit analysis when the text states that initiates of Dauntless must jump from a seven story building. Also, I know I met the requirements because in my blog it states, "
"Think about it," he says, a faint smile curling his lips. "You don't get to pick again."

A new place, a new name. I can be remade here.

"Tris," I say firmly. (6.82-5). This makes me think or infer that the names of the initiates that she has come to know so well, may not be their actual names because they had the opportunity to restart their lives with a new name and a new personality"( Bussell Divergent Hidden Meanings). The previous quote shows the thourogh evidence from the text as well as the inferences made from the textual evidence.

Next trimester for reading, my goal is to read at least three books. I also want to become a better writer by focusing on grammer and comma based punctuation errors.
This trimester I read two books and have gotten almost halfway through the third. Hence the reason why I made it a goal to read at least three books next trimester. I want to be able to write without punctuation errors and learn where colons and semicolons are used.

Factions

Several quotes throughout the book show how closely related each faction is to one another. "It must require bravery to be honest all the time", "I have a theory that selflessness and bravery aren't all that different.", "People tend to overestimate my character," I say quietly. "They think that because I'm small, or a girl, or a Stiff, I can't possibly be cruel. But they're wrong." This shows that being brave, intelligent, honest, peaceful and selfless aren't really as different as they are portrayed to be in the factions.

Divergent hidden meanings

In Divergent there is a lot of hidden symbolism and meanings. On page 58 it states, "I don't think. I just jump"(Roth 58).  During Dauntless initiation, Tris and her fellow initiates must jusmp off of a 7 story building.  Tris is the first to jump from the roof. Being the first jumper is a symbol of  courage, bravery and strength, and the Dauntless have lots of respect for the first jumper. Also, after reading the second book I became more interested in Beatrice (Tris). Particularly her last name... Prior. The definition of Prior is: 1.past; previous 2. preceding in importance or privilege. The meaning of Tris's last name is very important. It shows the importance of the history of the factions as well as Beatrice's family. Past would be used to describe the people that lived in factions before Tris or even the ones that created the faction system. Lastly,
"Um..." I don't know why I hesitate. But "Beatrice" just doesn't sound right anymore.

"Think about it," he says, a faint smile curling his lips. "You don't get to pick again."

A new place, a new name. I can be remade here.

"Tris," I say firmly. (6.82-5). This makes me think or infer that the names of the initiates that she has come to know so well, may not be their actual names because they had the opportunity to restart their lives with a new name and a new personality.

Divergent to Insurgent

I'm getting a little ahead of myself and I have already begun to read the second book in the Divergent series. However, I am not going to stop posting about the first book. I can't decide what faction I like the most because it seems as if every faction is part of our society today. There are intelegent, brave, honest, selfless, and peaceful people around the world. The majority if earth today would be divergent. Nearly no one could hold only one characteristic for their entire lifetime and be sane at the same time. The factions are really amazing as well as the people within them... Well most of the people.

Erudite: The Intelligent

You enjoy learning new things and discovering how things work. You believe the world would be better if the people were more knowledgable and educated other people see you as insightful but condescending.

Erudite: The Intelligent
We submit the following statements as truth:

  1. “Ignorance” is defined not as stupidity but as lack of knowledge.
  2. Lack of knowledge inevitably leads to lack of understanding.
  3. Lack of understanding leads to a disconnect among people with differences.
  4. Disconnection among people with differences leads to conflict.
  5. Knowledge is the only logical solution to the problem of conflict.

Therefore, we propose that in order to eliminate conflict, we must eliminate the disconnect among those with differences by correcting the lack of understanding that arises from ignorance with knowledge.

The areas in which people must be educated are:

  1. Sociology
    • so that the individual understands how society at large functions.
  2. Psychology
    • So that the individual understands how a person functions within society.
  3. Mathematics
    • So that the individual is prepared for further study in science, engineering, medicine, and technology.
  4. Science
    • So that the individual better understand how the world operates.
    • So that the individual’s study in other areas is supplemented.
    • So that as many individuals as possible are prepared to enter fields devoted to innovation and progress.
  5. Communication
    • So that the individual knows how to speak and write clearly and effectively.
  6. History
    • So that the individual understands the mistakes and successes that have led us to this point.
    • So that the individual learns to emulate those successes and avoid those mistakes.

Leaders must not be chosen based on charisma, popularity, or ease of communication, all of which are misleading and have little to do with the efficacy of a political leader. An objective standard must be used in order to determine who is best fit to lead. That standard will be an intelligence test, administered to all adults when the present leader reaches fifty-five or begins to decline in brain function in a demonstrable way.

Those who, after rigorous studying, do not meet a minimum intelligence requirement will be exiled from the faction so they can be made useful. This is not an act of elitism but rather one of practicality: Those who are not intelligent enough to engage in the roles assigned to us–roles that require a considerable mental capacity–are better suited to menial work than to faction work. Menial work is required for the survival of society, and is therefore just as important as faction work.

Information must always be made available to all faction members at all times. The withholding of information is punishable by reprimand, imprisonment, and eventually, exile. Every question that can be answered must be answered or at least engaged. Illogical thought processes must be challenged when the arise. Wrong answers must be corrected. Correct answers must be affirmed. If an answer to a question is unclear, it must be put to debate. All debates require evidence. Any controversial thought or idea must be supplemented by evidence in order to reduce the potential for conflict.

Intelligence must be used for the benefit, and not the detriment, of society. Those who use intelligence for their own personal gain or to the detriment of others have not properly borne the responsibility of their gift a, and are not welcome in our faction.

It bears repeating: Intelligence is a gift, not a right. It must be wielded not as a weapon but as a tool for the betterment of others.

Divergent mood and tone

The tone of divergent is heroic and mysterious. "It was always my intention to save you. My throat feels tight. But I betrayed you. I left you" (Roth 441). " I feel like someone breathed new air into my lungs. I am not Abnegtion. I am not Dauntless. I am Divergent. And I can't be controlled" (Roth 442). " somehow I get up and start running. I am brave" (Roth 444). " realize what?... That every second I waste means another Abnegation dead and another Dauntless made into a murderer? I've realized that. Now it's your turn" (Roth 466). Throughout these quotes and the book itself the heroic tone becomes more and more clear to readers. Beatrice always wore grey had a pretty boring life. Now she is a hero weather or not anyone knows she is a hero is beside the point. She risks her life to save others and the books tone supports her heroic actions. There are many moods involved in the book such as numb, relieved, enraged, and depressed. However, I think the best mood to describe the novel is : on edge. Because the book has so many outrageous and exciting parts that will change your mood as a reader. You can go from smiling to crying within a single chapter. "She falls, first to her knees, her hands limp at her sides...she is motionless and without breath" (Roth 443). -sadness"I am almost sure that I see a smile in my fathers eyes" (Roth 457).  Happiness, relief. "Then I love you" (Roth 486). -happy, relieved or maybe even sick or jealous depending on the reader.  At one point of the story Beatrice was trying to convince her dad, her brother and another character named Marcus to jump of a roof into dauntless headquarters so they could save a lot of people. Beatrice's serious tone made her more persuasive because it told the other characters how important that moment was.

Divergent

I finally finished my book and it almost left me in tears. It was incredible! I have already started reading the second book! Next week I am going to analize the book in more detail but for now I have to give props to Veronica Roth. She is an incredible author. She is amazing at connecting with the readers and making the book as realistic and relatable as possible by creating individual factions that resemble the groups of people in our world today.  It takes a lot to get me to start a book let alone finish it and Veronica Roth is one of the only authors that was able to catch my attention. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1miMuha7wXw#

Candor: The honest

Dishonesty Is Rampant.

Dishonesty Is Temporary.

Dishonesty Makes Evil Possible.

As it stands now, lies pervade society, families, and even the internal life of the individual. One group lies to another group, parents lie to children, children lie to parents, individuals lie to themselves. Dishonesty has become so integral to the way we relate to one another that we rarely find ourselves in authentic relationships with others. Our dark secrets remain our own. Yet it is our secrets that cause conflict. When we are dishonest with the people around us, we begin to hate ourselves for lying; when we are dishonest with ourselves, we can never attempt to correct the flaws we find within us, the flaws we are so desperate to hide from our loved ones, the flaws that make us lie. What has become clear is that lies are just a temporary solution to a permanent problem. Lying to spare a person’s feelings, even when the truth would help them to improve, damages them in the long run. Lying to protect yourself lasts for so long before the truth emerges. Like a wild animal, the truth is too powerful to remain caged. These are examples we clearly see in our own lives, yet we fail to understand that they do not just apply to the dynamic between ourselves and our neighbors, or ourselves and our friends. What is society but a web of individual-to-individual relationships? And what is conflict except one person’s dark secret crashing into another person’s dark secret? Dishonesty is a veil that shields one person from another. Dishonesty allows evil to persist, hidden from eyes of those who would fight it. Dishonesty Leads to Suspicion. Suspicion Leads to Conflict. Honesty Leads to Peace. We have a vision of an honest world. In this world, parents do not lie to their children, and children do not lie to their parents do not lie to their parents; friends do not lie to one another; spouses do not lie to each other. When we are asked our opinions we are free to give them without having to consider any other responses. When we engage in conversation with others, we do not have to evaluate their intentions, because they are transparent. We have no suspicion, and no one suspects us. And most of all - yes, above all else - we are free to expose our dark secrets because we know the dark secrets of our neighbors, our friends, our spouses, our children, our parents, and our enemies. We know that while we are flawed in a unique way, we are not unique because we are flawed. Therefor we can be authentic. We have no suspicions. And we are at peace with those around us. Truth ‘Makes ‘Us ‘Transparent. ‘Truth Makes Us Strong. Truth Makes Us Inextricable We will raise our children to tell the truth. We will do this by encouraging them to speak their minds at every moment. For the child, withholding words is the same as lying. We will be honest with our children even at the expense of their feelings. The only reason people cannot bear honesty now is because they were not raised hearing the truth about themselves, and they can’t stand to. If children are raised to hear both honest praise and honest criticism, they will not be so fragile as to crumble beneath the scrutiny of their peers. A life of truth makes us strong. Adulthood will be defined as a time at which each member of society is capable of bearing every other member’s dark secrets, just as every other member will be subjected to The Full Unveiling in which every hidden part of their life is laid bare before their fellow members. They, too, will see the hidden parts of their fellow members’ lives. In this way we bear one another’s secrets. In this way we become inextricable. Truth Makes Us Inextricable.

If you are candor you are honest and open. You are fair but could easily come off as insensitive. You are honest no matter what the consequences and you would rather hear the truth than lied even if the truth hurts. You believe that if everyone was honest the world would be a better place.

Amity: The Peaceful

Conversations of Peace

Trust

A son says to his mother: “Mother, today I fought with my friend.”

His Mother says: “Why did you fight with your friend?”

“Because he demanded something of me, and I would not give it to him.”

“Why did you not give it to him?”

“Because it was mine.”

“My son, you now have your possessions, but you do not have your friend. Which would you rather have?”

“My friend.”

“Then give freely, trusting that you will also be given what you need.”

Self-Sufficiency

Daughter says to her Father: “Father, today I fought with my friend.”

Her Father says: “Why did you fight with your friend?”

“Because she insulted me, and I was angry.”

“Why were you angry?”

“Because she lied about me” (In some versions: “Because I was hurt by her words.”)

“My daughter, did your friend’s words change who you are?”

“No.”

“Then do not be angry. The opinions of others cannot damage you.”

Forgiveness

A husband says to his wife: “Wife, today I fought with my enemy.”

“His Wife says: “Why did you fight with your enemy?”

“Because I hate him.”

“My husband, why do you hate him?”

“Because he wronged me.”

“The wrong is past. You must let it rest where it lies.”

Kindness

A Wife says to her Husband: “Husband, today I fought with my enemy.”

Her Husband says: “Why did you fight with your enemy?”

“Because I spoke cruel words to her.”

“My wife, why did you speak cruel words to her?”

“Because I believed them to be true.”

“Then you must no longer think cruel thoughts. Cruel thoughts lead to cruel words, and hurt you as much as they hurt your target.”

(The following section was part of the original manifesto, but was later removed.)

Involvement

One friend says to Another: “Friend, today I fought with my enemy.”

The Other Friend says: “Why did you fight with your enemy?”

“Because they were about to hurt you.”

“Friend, why did you defend me?”

“Because I love you.”

“Then I am grateful.”

Divergent Character Beatrice Prior

Beatrice Prior is the protagonist of the book. Beatrice starts the book living as a member of the abnegation faction. She is stuck in a world of selflessness. Where looking in a mirror is nearly unheard of. "I sneak a look at my reflection when she isn't paying attention- not for the sake of vanity, but out of curiosity" (Roth 1). Beatrice was a curious girl who wanted to explore a different life. Her character begins to change when she chooses to betray her family. "...my blood sizzles on the coals. I am selfish. I am brave"(Roth 47). As the book continues, Beatrice begins to socialize with and meet new characters. She slowly transforms from a girl who was raised to be caring to a woman possessing little to no care for others. "His feet are just inches from my head. I should comfort him- I should want to comfort him, because I was raised that way. Instead I feel disgust"(Roth 74). She starts to show her selfish side. The side she has had to hide her whole life. As a character she becomes more defiant to rules and more ruthless. " She Groans, and I hear a gurgling in her throat, watch blood trickle from her lips...I wish I could say I felt guilty for what I did. I don't" (Roth 174). She gains friends ( Christina, Will) and enemies (Molly, Drew, Peter.) She also gains a lover. A man named Tobias. Nicknamed four because he only has four fears. Tobias and Beatrice interact with eachother and make eachother better as characters and people. Without Beatrice being a Divergent character the plot would no longer exist. There would be no mystery in the story and very little conflict. Beatrice propels the plot because of her unusual personality and the way that she interacts with characters and society. Even though Beatrice wasn't supposed to look in a mirror she looks different than her reflection. She is a small girl that belongs in abnegation but inside she is a fierce woman who wants to take risks and explore the world opposite of her own.

Dauntless: The Brave

"We believe that cowardice is to blame for the world’s injustices.

We believe that peace is hard-won, that sometimes it is necessary to fight for peace. But more than that: We believe that justice is more important than peace.

We believe in freedom from fear, in denying fear the power to influence our decisions. We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another.

We believe in acknowledging fear and the extent to which it rules us. We believe in facing that fear no matter what the cost to our comfort, our happiness, or even our sanity.

We believe in shouting for those who can only whisper, in defending those who cannot defend themselves.

We believe, not just in bold words but in bold deeds to match them. We believe that pain and death are better than cowardice and inaction because we believe in action.

We do not believe in living comfortable lives. We do not believe that silence is useful.

We do not believe in good manners.

We do not believe in empty heads, empty mouths, or empty hands.

We do not believe that learning to master violence encourages unnecessary violence.

We do not believe that we should be allowed to stand idly by. We do not believe that any other virtue is more important than bravery" (Roth 47-48).

What would you do?

What would you do if one choice decides your friends. If one choice defines your beliefs. If one choice determined where your loyalty lies-forevever. ~Veronica Roth

Abnegation: The Selfless

Each week I am going to post about an individual faction of the book Divergent. This week I am going to start with the main character Beatrice's faction abnegation. The definition of abnegation is to refuse or deny oneself or to relinquish; give up. If you are in the abnegation faction, you don't like to draw attention to yourself and like to put others before yourself. Others see you as difficult to get to know but quiet and nice.  Your manifestos is : "I will be my undoing If I become my obsession. I will forget the ones I love if I don't deserve them. I will war with others if I refuse to see them. Therefore I turn away from my reflection to rely not on myself but on my brothers and sisters, to protect always outward until I disappear" (Roth 35).

Divergent theme and summary

The theme of Divergent so far is being yourself will help you to become successful. Throughout the book the main character Beatrice continues to get more and more successful. This was a result of deciding to betray her faction and for once be herself. In abnegation, the faction Beatrice was born into has a rule that you must be selfless, if Beatrice stuck with the rules, and didn't act as her own person she would still be with her family. The theme arises and becomes more clear when it states "Then, with a gasp I can't contain,I shift my hand forward, and my blood sizzles on the coals. I am selfish. I am brave" (Roth 47). This was the first point in the story when she went against abnegation and became her own person. After this her success began to show. "Fierce pleasure courses through me and I smile. It's a small accomplishment..." (Roth 136). At this point of the story Beatrice's survives her first accomplishment in her new faction. "You won..." (Roth 174). Beatrice won a fist fight after being portrayed as the weakest in the group and she proved herself to her new faction. She proved more initiates of her faction wrong in chapter sixteen when it states "look at you. Number six....We should celebrate" (Roth 200).  Beatrice went from the bottom of her faction to 6th overall. As Beatrice and the plot of the story grow the theme shines through more and more. Being yourself will help you to become more successful.

Beatrice

Beatrice is the main character in my book and she is amazing. She doesn't care what anyone thinks about her. She is bold and willing to defy the rules of her faction. The thing that bothers me is that she is so willing to turn her back on her family. The ones she has lived with her entire life. She might betray the ones she loves and if I did that I don't think I could handle the guilt.

Divergent Book Recomendation

Even though I have not finished the book Divergent, I strongly recomend it. Personally I do not enjoy reading, however, I have not been able to put this book down. So far divergent is set in the future and it had similar settings to The Hunger Games. In the book  there is a girl named Beatrice. She is the main character and she has to overcome many obstacles and difficult decisions. She first has to take a test to see what faction or group she would fit best into. When she takes her test she discovers something strange. She now has to decide between herself by going against her current faction, or staying with her family. I think this book has incredible detail and I can visualize myself in the main characters shoes. As a person who doesn't read often this is already one of the best written and most descriptive books I have read.

Factions of Divergent Reading Skills

In The new book I am reading called Divergent there are different factions you can be assigned to. The factions are basically classes or groups where you have to follow certain rules. You get assigned a faction after taking a test. There are several possible factions such as Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. All of the factions portray different traits such as bravery and intelligence. The main character Beatrice goes through the experience of the test and finds out something unheard of ;something she can't tell anyone, not even her family. To find out what faction you would be a part of you can take the faction quiz. After I took the quiz, I discovered that I was just like Beatrice. However I was also very similar to the Erudite faction which means that I was defined as 'intelligent'. Find out your faction and comment your results!

Divergent

I have just started reading the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. I don't particularly enjoy reading, however so far this book is very intriguing. I am currently on chapter five and I already want to know what will happen next. The main character Beatrice Prior has taken a test to see what faction she will be places into. A faction is like a clique or class in which you can't disobey certain rules. When Beatrice gets out of the ordinary results she is left to decide between herself and her family. Although Beatrice's current faction is focused on selflessness, I predict that she will abandon her family for her own good. One of the rarest factions has become an option for Beatrice after taking the test. This faction is called the Divergent faction. As a reader i am strongly wondering what this faction entails. I think the book in general is a lot like the world today. Although we aren't exactly like the characters our world and society are very similar. In Divergent there are are factions, and compared to our society factions are like clicks in high school. For example there is a faction named dauntless which would compare to the 'goths' of high school. So far,"divergent seems a lot like "The Hunger Games" because there is a main character of a different futuristic time period that has to make difficult decisions and runs into a lot of conflict along the way. If I was in Beatrice's position and had to choose whether or not to leave my family I don't think i could. I would tear myself apart because I wouldn't want to leave my family but, I also wouldn't want to follow the strict rules of Beatrice's current faction. What would you do?

Summer Reading

The main character in the book “Ready Player One” is Wade. In the beginning of the novel Wade was portrayed as a poor boy living in the trailer park. As the story progressed and the plot developed he began to change. Wade has lived nearly his whole life in the virtual reality video game called the OASIS. In this virtually reality anything is possible. After the creator of the game passed away they read his will. In his will he stated that before he passed he created a competition that put his multi-billion dollar fortune up for grabs. The players had to compete within the virtual reality of the OASIS. The competition was based on the games creator and his childhood. Wade began researching him and within five years Wades name was the first to come up on the leaderboard. Wade became famous. However he wasn’t famous in reality. His avatar Parzival was the one that became famous. Parzival (Wade) came in contact with another avatar named art3mis. He had a crush on her famous avatar since he was little and now he saw her in the game. His thoughts of love interfered with the contest and art3emis took the lead. Companies needed help cracking the first clue of the contest. One company took it so far they discovered Parzival's real name and location. The company began to attack Wade’s house and killed several people while trying to kill Wade. After wades avatar hit the leaderboard it was chaos in the gaming world .especially when art3mis took the lead with the second part of the three part contest. Wade ran into many other companies and avatars willing to pay him for help with the contest. Wade took nearly every deal and began gaining access to other parts of the OASIS. After a long hard few years Wade won the contest losing the lives of his friends and family on the way. He became a billionaire and his life changed. However his attitude didn’t change. He was still a good person and didn’t let wealth change that. Wade went from a poor boy in a trailer to a rich man in the city."After five long years the copper key had finally been found, by an eight-teen year old kid living in a trailerpark on the outskirts of OaklahomaCity. That kid was me"(Cline,8). Wade showed that if you work hard and you are determined enough you can accomplish anything; including becoming a billionaire.
The following article will give you more information on the book that will summarize it without spoiling it!
